A LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT

On behalf of the members of the Beta Delta Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta, welcome!
My name is Carys Freund, and I am truly honored to serve as the 2026 Chapter President.

Founded at Michigan State University in 1944, the Beta Delta Chapter is rooted in Gamma Phi Beta's four core values: love, labor, learning, and loyalty. These principles guide everything we do and shape the strong, supportive community we are so proud to call home. Our chapter is made up of an extraordinary group of women who are committed to inspiring the highest type of womanhood- both during our collegiate years and far beyond. Philanthropy is at the heart of our sisterhood. Through our mission of Building Strong Girls, we are proud to partner with Girls on the Run, an organization dedicated to empowering young girls with confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self. Watching these girls grow and celebrate their accomplishments- culminating in a 5K run- is incredibly meaningful, and we are honored to support a program that creates lasting impact.

Joining Gamma Phi Beta has shaped my college experience in ways I never could have imagined. The genuine and unwavering sisterhood within this chapter has given me friendships that will last a lifetime. I have found a support system that uplifts, encourages, and stands beside me through every season of life. Choosing Gamma Phi Beta truly led me to my forever home.

What makes Beta Delta so special is the individuality of each member. Together, we form a sisterhood of strong, authentic, and compassionate women who continuously inspire one another to grow. We celebrate each other's successes, support one another through challenges, and bring out the very best in each other every day. I feel incredibly grateful to be surrounded by such remarkable women.
